A Craigslist Ad Is Not Proof of Paid Protesters in LA.

"FACT FOCUS: A Craigslist Ad Is Not Proof of Paid Protesters in LA. It Was Posted as a Prank"

Quote:CLAIM: A Craigslist ad seeking “the toughest badasses in the city” is proof that Los Angeles demonstrations over immigration raids are made up of paid protesters.
THE FACTS: This is false. The ad, which appeared in Craigslist's Los Angeles section for general labor jobs, was bait for a prank show and had nothing to do with the protests in Los Angeles, the ad's creator told The Associated Press. It was posted on Thursday, the day before the protests began. In a livestreamed episode on Friday, the show's hosts called and spoke with people who responded to the ad.

“I literally had no idea it was ever going to be connected to the riots. It was a really weird coincidence,” said Joey LaFleur, who posted the ad on Craigslist.
The ad was developed as part of a new prank show called “Goofcon1,” said LaFleur, who hosts the podcast with Logan Quiroz. On their show Friday, the day protests began, they spoke live on the phone with people who responded during Goofcon1’s third episode.

I've been seeing this going around but that was the only article I saw that explained it. I am not endorsing the Associate Press news wire service or any reports they are publishing.

Is it organic to have a load of bricks ready to throw, plus once a good riot gets going all the idiots think a bit of looting might not to amiss, and when they see a few High end TV going out of the store in a trolly then more join in. It is pretty predictable how this goes, once the fire is lit the majority of the people think Xmas has come early.
So a good riot isn't that hard to get going in the present economic climate. They do not even think of the city as theirs to look after. This has all the hallmarks of people with an agenda lighting a fuse to instigate martial law and hide the true economic state of the nation and blame the common people for the problem, we are seeing the first gambit in the reset. Richie from Boston makes some salient points.L.A. RIOTS ARE FUNDED ORGANIZED AND WILL GO NATIONWIDE

Some wannabee Badasses may have seen that and figured they would go there to be with others that believed in violence like they do.  Birds of a feather flock together.

Even though it was meant to be a prank, some people may have taken it serious and it possibly could have attracted more Badasses to participate in the protests.

Many of those type of people want to be around others like them to reinforce their beliefs.  So it may have increased the numbers of chaotic people in LA.....I said may have, even though they did not get paid, their chances of being around people like themselves, they may have gone there to cause trouble.

I have seen this kind of behavior before multiple times.  Just think about it, a rumor starts which results in an event happening even though it was just a joke at the time.  Facebook gets lots of people fired up, just read the comments people do.  It may sound like a joke to you, but some people get all fired up about it.  My wife does a lot of reading of comments and is laughing, but some people take that serious, they hear enough people saying the same thing and they get all fired up if it either reinforces their belief or goes against their beliefs.

I am starting to think social media might not be such a good thing for society, even MSM news is polarized and they emphasize things to make their news more juicy so people follow their their news station, trying to build their intake of money from advertising sales or campaign dollars for political commercials.

I haven't been following the events but were bricks dropped off along streets like they were years ago during the Fentynl-Floyd riots?  I made a post on the former, other site about how things like brick deliveries should not be too hard to track unless, UNLESS it's purposely done with full knowledge and support of the city government and above.
Nothing amazes me anymore

There's a 'debunking' piece about brick deliveries in this thread although it definitely looks like the Feds incited and coordinated the 2020 riots in order to execute a 'real estate acquisition plan'.

Feds Coordinated 2020 Riots To Acquire Real Estate?

Cheers.

It starts with technology.
Imagine if we didn't invent the cell phone...
This would be a small protest (an actual protest Lol ) and the ability to instantly share selfies with cars on fire would be nonexistent.

Technology will be the downfall of humanity.

If actionable information is coming in faster because of technology than before then it might happen that those who would action that information would reach a level of incompetence quite fast because of limited resources and nothing would get done as the ability to prioritize would also reach a level of incompetence as well.

I found this mentioned on Snopes, and they didn't have anything to debunk this one way or the other. I guess they didn't have this information from the AP wire yet. I thought that was strange because Snopes usually has some "facts" to stand on, that report had nothing to say to support or debunk this one.

I agree with your conclusion about the downfall of humanity.

Could be nothing but did see this vid pop up about potential parallels, Rex 84 and COG.

Quote:Rex 84B, short for Readiness Exercise 1984 Bravo, was a classified scenario and drill developed by the United States federal government to detain large numbers of United States residents deemed to be "national security threats" in the event that the president declared a National Emergency. The scenario envisioned state defense forces rounding up 500,000 undocumented Central American residents and 4,000 American citizens whom the US Attorney General had designated as "national security threats" as part of the secret Continuity of Government program. These people would be detained at 22 military bases in concentration camps run by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.[1]
