250th Anniversary/Birthday Celebration
#1
Has Trump gone off the deep end?

Is he building a cult of personality?

Could anyone think they should graft their birthday on an already somewhat lavish 250th anniversary of the founding of the US Army?

Where's DOGE?

Is he throwing the world a curveball?  Is this some form of gamesmanship?

No, he just became more of who he really is.
Already happened a long time ago.
They'll only spend like 10 million on the parade.
Somewhere saving people from DEI and the Ivy League.

He'll be the first since Nixon in 1970 to have a parade, who had two in consecutive years. LBJ also had two. And Eisenhower got one for both inaugurations. They skipped over Kennedy.

Its a cold war throwback! You gotta up the military spending and hold parades to counter the Soviet Chinese military parades.

And the game played is, "I own the world now, the Army now marches for ME, what are you going to do to stop it?"

Since when did celebrating our men and women in uniform become a gratuitous display of smug superiority? Is that why veterans only get one day and the gays get a whole month?
I can't help what my face does when you talk

The U.S Army is planning this. Not Trump. Their 250th anniversary and his birthday happen to fall on the same day.

Quote:The U.S. Army is planning a big celebration to recognize not only the 250th anniversary of its founding, but also President Trump’s 79th birthday, both of which fall on June 14.

I'm not talking about the military though in light of the recent budget cutbacks, maybe a more restrained celebration would be more appropriate.

Why must Trump obnoxiously make it also about his birthday?

Do they take away your Republican card if you find some party member's excesses embarassing?

Are you all singing

"M-m-m-m-m-mag
m-m-m-m-m- mAYAg
I'm MAGA to the bone!"

Some people like to be brash and even a little tasteless because they can be.

A celebration about the establishment of one of the exemplar Armies on this planet?

And now... the smarm crew stands ready to emblazon harsh criticisms on the commemoration because
a perennial 'showman' is making a 'show' of it?

Neurosis, pick a lane... you don't get two.

If your gonna have a neurosis about Trump, don't let the toxicity splatter all over the place.

He is a 'hired gun,'... more a showman than a statesman.

(at least not yet... who knows what media 'appearances' are yet to come.)

As long as the Marines and Navy get commemorations for their 250th anniversaries, all's good.

It is just a funny coincidence and the Department of the Army decided to celebrate the President's birthday too since it is on the same day.
After all, did we forget that love him or hate him , he is the Commander in Chief of said US Army?

Poor neurotics.
I don't recall seeing half as much mental leakage about Biden in the news the previous four years.

Of course Trump is enjoying it, but I can tell you as a US vet we get our little pieces of cake on the Army's birthday and sing the Army 'theme song' and we won't really be saluting effigies of Trump God any time soon.

Seems like just another thing for the America hating Liberals to clutch their pearls and hyperventilate over.
