Never thought about our solar system moving through space, as shown in the second depiction, it seems so chaotic 
no doubt this model shows more of a possibility of cosmic collisions

Earth orbits around the sun at a speed of 67,100 miles per hour.....

As well as moving around the Sun, the Sun and Earth are orbiting around the dense center of our galaxy at some 447,000 miles per hour.....

It also makes you think of these people who claimed they've time traveled. As the Earth is never in the same spot twice??

Well yes I learned that too but always visualized it as the whole solar system moving in unison, Like a galactic Frisbee that isn't what the graphic depicts at all, it is as if the Sun is barrelling through space dragging all the other planets and their orbits are wobbly AF.

I see it more of very slow cyclicle motion rather then chaotic. Like the motion of a huge machine that moves in many ways yet never crashes into itself, except for the occasional dust that get in the way.

Do you mean dust from the Asteroid belt, Kuiper Belt, and let's not forget the Oort Cloud that we are enveloped in? I assume thats moving with us as well.

NGL it all has a Horton Hears a Who feel to it. We are nothing but a speck of dust surrounded by smaller specks of dust

The dust is anything that gets out of synk and smashes into the mechanism. There is an element of chayos but for the most part, those big rocks play nicely.
